STYROFOAM High Load 40 extruded polystyrene insulation is a closed cell extruded polystyrene foam insulation designed to meet the high strength requirements of ASTM C578 (TYPE VI) specifications. It combines a minimum compressive strength of 40 PSI with the excellent physical property characteristics of all STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene insulation products. As a result, it resists compressive creep and fatigue and delivers the long term compressive strength and R-value retention needed for high load applications. It is ideal for use in low temperature (freezer floor) applications where moderately heavy loads are expected. It is also recommended for insulating many highway installations.
